The A, B, SEA Club at Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego, introduces the ocean world to children ages 4 and younger by featuring sea animals in interactive one-day programs designed for early childhood learners. Each class includes aquarium exhibits, live animal encounters and a free-play experience. Families and playgroups are welcome.

Sea Strollers Age Infant to 24 months 8:30-9:15 a.m. $15/ day, playgroups of eight or more children $23/ day, public (adult/child pair)
Infants and toddlers up to 24 months participate in an interactive program that introduces the sights and sounds of the sea. Early entry into the aquarium allows exclusive access to exhibits.

Sea Wees Age 2 9:30-10:30 a.m. $15/ day, playgroups of eight or more children $23/ day, public (adult/child pair) This one-hour weekday class introduces 2-year-olds to the ocean world through stories, songs and live animal encounters.

Sea Schoolers Ages 3-4 9:30-11 a.m. $20/ day, playgroups of eight or more children $28/ day, public (adult/child pair) This program engages "sea" schoolers between the ages of 3 and 4 in hands-on activities that include aquarium scavenger hunts, live animal encounters, stories and special crafts.
