The forecast calls for bright and booming local skies on the night of July 4. Whether you're at the La Jolla Cove, aboard a 19th century steam ferry on the San Diego Bay or tapping your feet to the sounds of the Navy Band Southwest at the San Diego County Fair, fireworks will be seen and heard. Just how loud will they be? Well, let's just say earplugs and sunglasses might come in handy.
