Beginning this month, the office of California state Assembly Speaker Toni Atkins will hold community office hours in La Jolla, providing the public an opportunity to meet with staff and obtain information on state services, legislation and other issues of concern.

The first such event will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, July 31 at La Jolla Library, 7555 Draper Avenue. For more information, click
