As part of LightBridge Hospice’s veteran volunteer program, U.S. Navy Lieutenant and hospice veteran volunteer, Wesley Klimt, led an honor ceremony to thank 95-year-old Retired Chief Petty Officer Garnold Radabaugh for his service at his home in University City on Sept. 20. The program included a pinning, salute, and presentation of a certificate and a pillow from a Navy uniform sewn by active duty wives.
Garnold’s career was incredible. “The Chief” was at Pearl Harbor when it was bombed and then went to Normandy during his more than 20-year career in the Navy. Several of Garnold’s family members attended, as well as local Navy Chiefs and Officers from PCU Jackson LCS6.
