Bishop's girls soccer advances, boys basketball team falls short

The Bishop's School's girls soccer team won its first-round game of the CIF SoCal Regional Championships on Tuesday, defeating Animo Leadership (Inglewood), 7-0. The Knights will now play at Oaks Christian on Thursday at 4 p.m. The winner of that game will play in the regional final.

Also on Tuesday, The Bishop's School's boys basketball team played its first-round game of the CIF state tournament, falling short to Junipero Serra (San Juan Capistrano), 61-58. The loss ends the season for the Knights, who won the San Diego CIF section last weekend with a 73-70 win against Francis Parker.

Francis Parker also lost Tuesday, 69-54, to Morningside (Inglewood).
