The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego and its special interest group, Avant Garde (creative professionals 40-something and younger), will bring art lovers together to toast the start of summer at its first annual Summer Solstice Soiree, Wednesday, June 22 at the museum, 1100 & 1001 Kettner Boulevard (between Broadway and B Streets).
The communal dinner party begins with a 6 p.m. reception on the outdoor Figi Family Concourse with drinks from Craft & Commerce, and El Dorado. MCASD staff will assist guests in a solstice-inspired art-making activity as an icebreaker.
Party-goers will then head inside for dinner by Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens, which will pair seasonal beers with each course. Jennifer Steinkamp's “
