Scripps Cancer Center will host a free celebration for cancer survivors, their families, and the community at its 20th annual Cancer Survivor’s Day, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, June 12 at the Valerie Timken Amphitheater at Scripps Green Hospital, 10666 North Torrey Pines Road. “A Celebration of Life” will include a breast surgeon’s perspective on survivorship and a discussion about the role of integrative medicine in cancer care, a poetry reading by a survivor, and a musical performance by Afro-Pop artists Akayaa Atule and Bolga Zohdooma.
