Video contest asks teens to describe their inspiring 'natural' highs

Not everyone uses drugs and alcohol to get high, and Natural High® is out to prove it. Youth between the ages of 10-18 are invited to submit entries into the new

Natural High contest

, an opportunity where young people can showcase how THEY get high from what they love to do.

Natural High’s mission is to encourage teens to find and choose “natural highs,” a phrase coined to mean whatever it is that gets your blood flowing and heart thumping and does not involve drugs and alcohol. Back by popular demand, the Natural High contests in the past have had more than 200 teens participate, many of whose videos can be seen on the Natural High Network YouTube Channel under the “

” section.

The contest runs now until March 31, with the winners featured before spring break and prom to encourage fun alternatives to risky behaviors during these two festivities.

This year there will be 10 Natural High scholarships worth $250 each awarded as prizes based on middle- and high school grade levels. The Sundt Memorial Foundation, producers of the acclaimed Natural High® DVD series, will sponsor and judge the contest.

To enter, go to

and follow the instructions outlined. Applicants will be asked to showcase their natural high using one of five mediums: video, poster art, journalistic, performance, and presentation.
