Sheriff's detectives were looking for clues Sunday in a Del Mar jewelry heist that netted about $50,000 in stolen merchandise.
The burglar cut a hole in a wall in a for-rent space next to Loghman Jewelers at 1555 Camino Del Mar and broke into the store early Saturday, sheriff's Lt. Jim Walker said.
The burglary was reported about 10:30 a.m. Saturday. It was unclear if surveillance video captured images of the culprit.
A description of the stolen items was unavailable.
A similar break-in occurred at Bulfer Jewelry in La Jolla about a week ago, but the crooks got only empty jewelry boxes.
