Oven fire damages Pacific Beach apartment building

A fire in Pacific Beach on Wednesday damaged an apartment building and displaced two adults, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

The noninjury blaze began in an oven on 5028 Mission Blvd. just before 1:50 a.m. and caused $5,000 in structure damage and $2,500 in content loss, a dispatcher said.

The dispatcher said medics, police and 24 firefighters responded to the call.
