On the beach, at the fair, aboard a ship -- there are plenty of places to get your pyrotechnic fix on July 4. And thanks to the calendar gods, those super-flashy displays happen on Saturday this year (unless otherwise noted). Check 'em out:

Big Bay Boom 2009: 9 p.m. Fireworks will be set off simultaneously from four barges placed around San Diego Bay -- off Shelter Island, Harbor Island, the Embarcadero and Seaport Village. www.thebigbay.com.

La Jolla: 9 p.m. Fireworks are best seen from La Jolla Cove, Scripps Park and La Jolla Shores.

Legoland California's Red, White & Boom Celebration: 8:30 p.m. Fireworks follow an all-day celebration, which features a patriotic building competition and a performance by The Jumpitz. Regular admission applies for park guests. After 7 p.m., nonpark guests can view fireworks from the parking lot for $2. (Parking lot will close at 8:15 p.m.) Admission to the park: $53-$63. (760) 918-5346, www.legoland.com.

Mission Bay Yacht Club: 9 p.m. Boats will parade around the bay before the fireworks. (858) 488-0501, www.mbyc.org.

Paradise Point Resort & Spa: 9 p.m. July 3. Fireworks follow a barbecue that begins at 6 p.m. July 3. Barbecue: $25-56. (858) 274-4630, www.paradisepoint.com.

San Diego County Fair (Del Mar Fairgrounds): 9 p.m. Fireworks will follow a Hometown Heroes parade, patriotic contests and a performance by Navy Band Southwest. Smokey Robinson will perform after the fireworks display. The show is free with fair admission: $7-$13. Parking: $10. (858) 755-1161, www.sdfair.com.

San Diego Maritime Museum Fourth of July Celebration: 9 p.m. A barbecue, which includes entertainment, will be held aboard the Berkeley at 6:30 p.m.: $25-$50. A fireworks sail party will be held on the Californian at 6:15 p.m.: $65. (619) 234-9153, www.sdmaritime.com.

SeaWorld: 9:30 p.m. July 3, 4 and 5. Viewing is also available along Crown Point. Admission to the park: $55-$65. Parking: $12. (800) 257-4268, www.seaworld.com.
