The North County Philanthropy Council is an association of professionals, board members and volunteers of nonprofit organizations primarily serving North San Diego County communities. Membership to the council is open to all organizations and individuals interested in philanthropy.

The council was founded in the mid 1980s by 38 organizations and individuals who recognized that the North San Diego County nonprofit community was in need of a resource that would help promote and support philanthropy. Today, with a membership of more than 150, including 120 nonprofit organizations, the Council continues to fulfill its mission by providing education and training in fundraising and leadership development, promoting the values of philanthropy, fostering communication among those in the nonprofit sector and recognizing individuals whose efforts have made a difference in the community.
