People who want to participate with their modern families in a Jewish experience focused on Jewish culture and traditions and comfortable with the concept that they alone control their individual destinies and their own resources for decision-making are welcome to learn more about Humanistic Judaism.
Organizers say that for over 20 years Humanistic Judaism has been a welcome alternative for independent-minded Jews in San Diego. The Humanistic Jewish Congregation offers an opportunity to discover what this philosophy looks like in terms of rituals, holiday observances, and education for children at a Membership Coffee on Saturday, June 28, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at the meeting room of the Carmel Valley Library, 3919 Townsgate Dr., San Diego. Children are welcome and refreshments will be served. Please RSVP to Madrikha Beverly at (858) 549-3088.
