The UC San Diego softball team erupted for three runs in its final at-bat, using a two-run single from Tess Granath and an RBI single by Jennifer De Fazio to edge Cal State San Bernardino, 3-1, on Saturday afternoon to win the NCAA Division II West Super Regional title.

Aaron Bauman had three hits and drove in two runs and Guido Knudson went the distance to lead top seed UC San Diego to a 6-3 victory over second-seeded Western Oregon in an elimination game of the NCAA Division II Baseball West Regional on Friday afternoon at Triton Ballpark.

Season tickets for the 2011 San Diego State Aztec football team will go on sale this Friday, May 20, at 9 a.m. PT. Packages start at just $66 and include reserved seats to all seven Aztec home games, the most regular-season home contests the team has played in a single year since 1995.

Five home runs and a strong pitching performance by Tim Shibuya led the seventh-ranked UC San Diego baseball team to a 9-6 win over Cal Poly Pomona in first round action of the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Tournament Thursday at Klein Family Field on the campus of the University of the Pacific.

UC San Diego softball captures No.1 overall seed in West Region

The 16th-ranked UC San Diego softball team captured the No.1 overall seed in the West Region for the NCAA Division II Women’s Softball Championship, it was announced Sunday evening. The California Collegiate Athletic Association regular season champions will open the tournament against eighth-seeded Central Washington (33-14) on Friday at noon.

The seventh-ranked UC San Diego baseball team not only recorded a convincing 10-4 win over Cal State San Bernardino Friday night, the Tritons also picked up their third consecutive California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) regular season title. A slew of seniors came up big on Senior Night at Triton Ballpark, including infielder Blake Tagmyer, who finished with five RBI.

The No. 7 UC San Diego baseball team put itself one victory away from clinching the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) regular season title with a huge 4-1 win over Cal State San Bernardino Thursday night at Triton Ballpark. The 14th straight win for UCSD, it was the first contest of a four-game series between the two league rivals.
