Coldwell Banker Residential acquires Middleton & Associates Real Estate in La Jolla

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Southern California has acquired the assets of Middleton Team Inc. in La Jolla, which does business as Middleton & Associates, a boutique luxury real estate brokerage.

An invitation-only event — the meeting of the Networking and Advisory Council for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties’ luxury offices in San Diego County — was held May 8 at Fox Hill, the former Copley Estate in La Jolla. More than 100 agents attended to learn from keynote speakers Cristie St. James and Markus Canter, Luxury Properties Directors, who discussed the methods and practices that have allowed them to consistently rank in the top 100 of the nation for their sales.

Willis Allen Real Estate marks 100th year with gala aboard USS Midway aircraft carrier in San Diego

Willis Allen Real Estate recently reached the milestone of 100 years of continuous business in San Diego County. To celebrate the momentous occasion, the company hosted a party on the flight deck of the USS Midway aircraft carrier on April 18. The soiree was in appreciation of its 240 agents and staff, “without who the company would just be a building and the company’s ideals would just be words,” Willis Allen stated in a press release.

Murfey Construction gets to ‘The Point’ in Pacific Beach

Murfey Construction, Inc. gets right to the point with their recent Pacific Beach groundbreaking for a 21-unit, high-end, mixed-use urban apartment complex in the Crown Point neighborhood. The Point at Ingraham, a three-story 35,000-square-foot project, will feature nine two-bedroom apartments, 11 one-bedroom apartments and one studio. Amenities will include solar electricity, air conditioning, washers and dryers, a gas range and tankless water heaters.

San Diego property values drop .14 percent

The 2012 assessed value of all taxable property in San Diego has decreased 0.14 percent (or $568 million) from last year, said San Diego County Assessor Ernie Dronenburg.
