A restaurant with a rather revolutionary concept recently opened in Carlsbad. The Green Dragon Tavern & Museum pays homage to the nation’s colonial days, from the architecture and décor (which includes historical documents on display) to the East Coast-inspired cuisine.

Chef Matt Richman, owner of Table 926 and a La Jolla resident, is known for his farm-to-table Mediterranean/Latin approach to gastronomic experiences. However, with the recent launch of Table 926’s Sunday Brunch comes another level of recognition for the intimate bistro at 926 Turquoise St. in Pacific Beach.

The ramen obsession that began in the Far East has made its way to the West Coast, as restaurants that serve these noodle dishes are springing up everywhere, including San Diego. One that has become quickly recognized is Rakiraki Ramen & Tsukemen, which opened in 2012 in the heart of Kearny Mesa.
