La Jolla Church marks Black History Month with special programs

La Jolla-based cystic fibrosis survivor, Lindsay Shipp, excelled during the half marathon portion of this year’s Tri-City Medical Center Carlsbad Marathon & Half on Jan. 19, as one of the “Heroes of the Marathon.”

St. James by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in La Jolla is gearing up for its 82nd annual White Elephant Sale, Feb. 7-9, spread between two adjacent buildings, the Cuvier Club at 7776 Eads Ave. and the Van Schaick Room at 743 Prospect St.
