Music society plans season

La Jolla Music Society president and artistic director Christopher Beach has announced the Society's 41st season, which includes 24 performances in four different venues. It opens Oct. 17 and runs through May 21.

Among the Society's regular series: the Celebrity International Orchestra, Revelle Chamber Music, and Frieman Family Piano, Dance, Jazz and Discovery Series. This season includes a special event with superstar violinist Joshua Bell for the WinterFest Gala-fundraiser and a celebration in honor of the bicentennial of composer Frederic Chopin's birth.

Series subscriptions are on sale now and single tickets go on sale July 13.
