Christopher Hitchens, a noted atheist author, debated with author Rabbi David Wolpe on Nov. 13. More than 850 people attended the event, with a 150-person overflow audience, at the Jewish Community Center.
Organizers saw this as the highlight of the book fair. Hitchens, a noted atheist and societal curmudgeon and author of "God is Not Great: How Religion Poisons Everything," brought in a huge crowd. Hitchens debated with Wolpe, author of "Why Faith Matters: a Personal Faith Journey and a Response to the New Atheists."
