The book can be purchased directly at the Society for $19.99 ($17.99 for Society members).
Historical Society offices are open to the public Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The book can also be ordered online at: www.lajollahistory.org. La Jolla, famously known as "The Jewel," is noted for its natural beauty and appealing Mediterranean-like climate. Magnificent sea cliffs and caves, bathing coves, and sandy beaches have attracted visitors, developers and residents since the 1880s.
