The Women's Council of San Diego County Wine and Food Festival comes to Del Mar on July 13. It will benefit City of Hope, a leading biomedical research, treatment and education institution devoted to the prevention and cure of cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
The event, which is celebrating its sixth consecutive year, will take place atop the Del Mar Plaza in the heart of Del Mar and features wine and food pairings from an assortment of the region's most well-known vintners, purveyors and restaurants. Those sharing their fare and flare for philanthropy will include Pacifica Del Mar, Il Fornaio, Epazote, Blue Coral Seafood & Spirits, The Fish Market, The 3rd Corner Wine Shop, The Barrel Room, Varozza Vineyards, Truly Fine Wines, Wilson Creek Winery and HOPE Wine, a line of award-winning wines from which 50 percent of sales are donated to charitable organizations fighting cancer, HIV/AIDS and autism.
