Voices for Children’s President’s Circle donors came together for a cocktail party April 4, 2014 at the La Jolla home of VFC board member Jill Skrezyna and her husband Alex Sun. The guest speakers were Juvenile Court Judge Carol Isackson and her daughter, Amy, who for the past two years has served as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer. The women spoke movingly of their experiences with foster children in the San Diego County’s child welfare system, and of the ways that CASA volunteers make a life-changing difference in the trajectories of foster children’s childhoods.
