Jane Wheeler (front) and Janet Evans write letters to Congressmember Darrell Issa urging him to help save the Wall Street post office. “These buildings are like national treasures, like the national parks,” Wheeler said. “These buildings are one in a million; nobody makes them anymore. Someone has to save them … as an inspiration to future architects.” Evans’ father began his career with the USPS at the Wall Street post office in 1935.
