Gunman robs AT&T store at Westfield Mall in UTC

San Diego police were on the lookout Wednesday (Oct. 23) for a man who robbed an AT&T store in a University City mall at gunpoint.

The armed robbery at the Westfield mall, formerly known as University Towne Centre, at 4300 La Jolla Village Drive was reported at 9:32 p.m. Tuesday, according to San Diego police Officer Dino Delimitros.

The suspect had a handgun and robbed the business just as it was closing, he said in a statement. The exact loss was not disclosed.

Police were looking for a thin Hispanic man, about 25 years old and 5 foot 10 inches tall, last seen wearing a red hoodie. He fled on foot.
