We’ve all heard the saying, “Youth is wasted on the young,” but what if we could get our youth back with the ageless skin of our younger years? While there’s certainly no fountain of youth, there is Sculptra – a liquid facelift that aims to give back youthful, beautiful skin.

Sculptra, a favorite among our patients, is often called a “liquid facelift” because of its incredible ability to lift the face naturally and without invasive plastic surgery. When injected into the skin, Sculptra causes the dermis to produce more of its own collagen, thereby lifting skin naturally without the use of any filler. When used in combination with Ultherapy, men and women can experience deep lifting and rejuvenation of the skin, taking years off the face.


Sculptra is an FDA-approved product used to address facial volume and wrinkles. The formulation itself is a biodegradable mixture of powdered poly-l-lactic acid and sterile water. Once it is injected underneath the skin’s surface, collagen is produced. Over time, the skin produces enough collagen to tighten and firm the face. Effects can last at a minimum of two years with many patients reporting longer results.

It takes time for the Scupltra liquid facelift to take effect. Once injected, you may see an initial improvement in facial volume, but this is the effect of the sterile water beneath the skin. Collagen production takes time, so most patients can expect results over the course of 3 to 6 months. We also recommend at least 2 to 4 sessions depending on the results desired.
