La Jolla Y to receive $7.5 million gift

The La Jolla YMCA announced it is the recipient of a planned gift of approximately $7.5 million from the Ruth and Tom Shepherd Trust. La JollaY Executive Director Sam Wurtzbacher said, “We are so grateful to the Shepherds for their generosity. We count on our community donors to keep our doors open to whoever needs a place to help them be more healthy, confident, connected and secure.”

Since 1964, the La Jolla YMCA has been providing a place to develop skills, emotional well-being, prevent chronic diseases and make new friends. For more information, visit lajolla.ymca.org
