La Jolla Music Society presents young Russian pianist in concert Sunday at Auditorium at TSRI

La Jolla Music Society concludes its season’s Discovery Series with a performance by pianist Nikolay Khozyainov at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 12 at the Auditorium at TSRI, 10640 John Jay Hopkins Drive. His program will feature works by Haydn, Ravel, Liszt and Chopin.

Khozyainov is the winner of numerous awards from international piano competitions, including First Prize at the Dublin International Piano Competition (2012), First Prize at the Alexander Scriabin International Piano Competition in Paris (2008), and Second Prize at the Sydney International Competition (2012).

The Music Society enhances the concert-going experience by presenting “Preludes” –  pre-concert chats and performances – prior to each performance. San Diego Youth Symphony students will perform at 2 p.m.
