Coyote attack suspected in cat death in Muirlands area, March 6
A La Jolla resident called The Light on March 7 to report finding a cat carcass near Nautilus and La Jolla High School. She said all that was left were its “haunches,” leading those who saw it to believe a coyote had gotten it.
She wanted to remind all cat owners to keep their pets inside.

Near the school? That’s not good. Many of there “coyotes” are too large predators to be skulking around outside a schoolyard.
