Bicyclist suffers life-threatening head injury on Torrey Pines Road in La Jolla

A 72-year-old male was riding his bicycle downhill on 11600 N. Torrey Pines Road toward the state beach at around 8:30 a.m. on March 2, when for an unknown reason, he lost control and fell. He suffered a life- threatening head injury and was transported to the hospital. He was wearing a helmet. Traffic Division is investigating.
