Signup time for fall kindergarten program in La Jolla

Registration is underway at public neighborhood schools for eligible Transitional Kindergarten (TK) students.

The eligible ages for TK for the 2013-2014 school year includes children born between Oct. 2 and Dec. 2, 2008.

Information about the TK program from the California Department of Education can be found at www.cde.ca.gov/ci/gs/em/kinderfaq.asp#E5

Officials say early childhood education provides children with the critical foundational skills, strategies, and experiences that promote success in school and beyond.
