Body surfers celebrate Sunday’s giant swells at Boomers in La Jolla

A rare day. This image was taken Sunday, Feb. 10 when 15-foot-high waves hit at the world famous ‘Boomers’ body surfing spot, right next to the Cove. Each time a body surfer dropped in, they would scream and hoot with delight.  —Greg Wiest
