Friday’s Haute La Jolla Nights outdoor bands cancelled
The La Jolla Village Merchants Association cancelled the outdoor performances scheduled for Friday, Jan. 25 for Haute La Jolla Nights.
“Due to the predicted rain for the day (and) evening, we are cancelling the outdoor bands for Friday evening. We still intend to have the event tomorrow evening and the shuttle service Saturday and Sunday,” they said in an email. The “event tomorrow evening” is referencing the Beer Garden scheduled for 4-9 p.m. Jan. 26 at the newly opened La Jolla Village Information Center, 1162 Prospect St.
Participating Village restaurants will still be offering special promotions for the event, held in conjunction with the Farmers Open PGA Tour in Torrey Pines.

I’d say we need to do a better job of informing locals for what I think is a great way to celebrate La Jolla. Even though it was canceled I personally was not aware the event would take place? Am I the only one? Haute La Jolla Nights can and should be full of activity and fun. Let’s get the word out and celebrate living in this wonderful place.
