Perhaps Mayor Filner has an interest in protecting our children too? There have been several accidents and near misses with automobiles running people over in front of 7-11 on La Jolla Blvd. I was terrified this past Sunday as I witnessed my 10-year-old son barely escape death as an SUV sped past him as he halted in the middle of the crosswalk. What about installing a crossing guard light at the corner of Westbourne and La Jolla Blvd? Is it going to take a human death for our city government to take action? PRIORITIZE…SAVE OUR CHILDREN, PROTECT OUR COMMUNITY. Please hear my plea for safety Mayor Filner.

Its a win win situration! Great! Now we will catch the criminals who have been harassing the seals (breaking federal laws) and will be able to show classrooms the beauty of nature! I can see why the first born seal (unfortunately 4 didn’t make it because of stress) is named miracle. Thank you God for looking out over your creation!

The city has been in gridlock with the poor rich boys in La Jolla who think they can control nature with money and greed. I hear you are complaining now about the smell of the ocean (seabirds, etc) and are crying foul. You want to remove the birds?!
Anyway I’m glad common sense has settled back in the cove and a webcam to watch these beautiful creatures has been installed. It may deter the criminals that have been harassing the seals for years to finally go away or be caught. It won’t be the first time they’ve been arrested, I hear. New slogan- Lets remove the criminals from La Jolla and let the seals back!”
