Those of you who have built or remodeled a house, even in Rancho Santa Fe, know that cost is TEN TIMES a custom home cost and this is a Lifeguard Tower! Just keep feeding the best with more and more taxes and this is what you get. IF private practice had been allowed to do this project it could be done for $600k and would have been completed 2 years ago....we can only hope the City of San Diego takes as long to give itself a Building Permit as it does everyone else! Harris and Sherri Lightner around to actually fight for progress in this area. May their many years of experience and knowledge on the topic be heard louder than the annoying activists bull horns and conflicting federal law that prohibits anything good for the community happening here... (and lets be real... none of this will affect the overall health of the seal population... we all know the scientists say their population is more than healthy and growing each year). Our community fully supports the lifeguards having adequate facilities to do their jobs... protecting us. Sherri Lightner... my hat is off to you for having to endure years of a foolish City stance on this issue. May Filner see the light on what's really happening down here and quit drinking that Friends of the Seals Koolaid. Thank goodness San Diego has professionals like Sgt.
