Parts of La Jolla Shores without power Monday, Dec. 10 due to truck accident
A large food services truck traveling west on El Paseo Grande in La Jolla Shores clipped power lines bringing them crashing down onto the roadway early afternoon on Monday, Dec. 10. No one was injured, but power was knocked out to most of the business district. SDG&E is on the scene

The truck that hit the lines was traveling westbound on Avenida de la Playa. The lines were also snagged earlier in the morning by a truck traveling eastbound which partially uprooted a power pole causing the lines to hang down into the street.
