Music-lovers brought their own seats down to Ellen Browning Scripps Park on July 31 to hear beautiful chamber music and watch the sun set. The annual free event is a gift from the Music Society, which uses the concert to launch its annual chamber music festival, SummerFest, featuring 15-concerts and numerous educational workshops at Sherwood Auditorium, the Athenaeum and Riford Library in La Jolla. For a schedule of events, through Aug. 24, go to ljms.org
