Jimmy O’s Award-Winning Chili

You’ll need:

5 pounds ground beef

1 pound hot Italian sausage

8 ounces pinto beans

8 ounces kidney beans

2 ounces chopped yellow onions

4 ounces Ortega green chiles

8 ounces diced tomatoes

16 ounces tomato juice

1/2 teaspoon butter

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon garlic

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

Pinch of cumin

1 ounce Worcestershire sauce

METHOD: Cook meats; then add the yellow onions, green chiles, tomato juice, tomatoes, butter, Worcestershire sauce and spices, and simmer for an hour.  Add the beans, and cook 20 more minutes.
