I'm an aesthetician: I find your article a bit contradictory. You start off insinuating that products don't work, laser is the way to go. Then, you go back to saying use your product. True, laser is great to remove scars, but active acne is best to treat with products and peels. If you just do peels every month, you will continue to get acne during the down period. HOME CARE IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! Double cleansing twice a day with a good professional product like (my preferences) A Natural Difference or Image for at home use is imperative. Over the counter products, usually don't have a good delivery system, so although, they are generally cheaper, you use more and don't get the same results Follow the cleansing with I recommend a combination of weekly peels (salicylic, cranberry enzyme, glycolic, oxygen treatments, Chiral A Enzyme, etc) for eight weeks and a deep peel (such as TCA, Jessner, ViPeel or Cabernet (especially great for Asian, Mediterranean & Afro American skin tones) quarterly.
Synopsis: Peels are good, but not alone. Lasers are great for scars, but not active acne. Good acne home care habits using professional products combined with professional peels is your best start.
