Historical Society presents new exhibit on La Jolla during WWII

The La Jolla Historical Society Board opened the exhibition, “Homefront La Jolla: An American Community During World War II,” with a reception on Dec. 6. Among the nearly 100 in attendance were donors, members, students, and numerous La Jolla World War II veterans, many of whom are featured in the exhibit.

“Homefront La Jolla” opened to the public on Dec. 7 and runs through Memorial Day 2012. Admission to the exhibition is free. Hours are noon to 4 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays at Wisteria Cottage, 780 Prospect St.
