Fall Fest on Avenida de la Playa in La Jolla Shores is Oct. 29

The La Jolla Shores Merchants Association (LJVMA) will present an afternoon of fun, good food and live music with its 4th annual Fall Fest on Avenida de la Playa Saturday, Oct. 29 from 3 to 6 p.m.

Dubbed “Party on La Playa,” an event highlight will be a costume parade and contest. Hullabolloo will be performing live for the kids at 5 p.m. at the park on Avenida de la Playa.

Local restaurants such as Osteria Romantica, Papalulu’s, Yogurt Escape, Sushi Mori and Piatti’s will offer samples of their menus.

Goodies will be handed out to guests from the surf shops, boutiques and businesses along the street.

Tickets at $5 per person, $10 event day, are available for purchase at Surf Diva Boutique, Neighbor Savor and Hike Bike and Kayak. Entry includes a ticket to join a raffle to win some great prizes.

Each shop/boutique/restaurant visited will issue a stamp or sticker for each of 12 boxes. A minimum of 10 stamps are needed in order to enter in the raffle. Prizes include gift certificates from local restaurants, boutiques, and surf & kayak schools.

Kids and adults are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to be a part of the costume parade contest.

There will be a jumper for kids as well as a clown doing face paintings and magic shows.

“It’s going to be a blast for everyone in the community and we’re thrilled to be having our 4th annual Fall Fest!” said Izzy Tihanyi, owner/CEO of Surf Diva Surf School and Surf Diva Boutique.

“Join us for our 4th Annual La Jolla Shores Fall Fest with family and friends, it’s always a great event with lots to do for everyone,” said Noelle Wojdowski, event committee Chair.
