Scripps Research held a scientific symposium on Oc. 7 that was part of its 50th anniversary of focus on basic biomedical research for the broad diagnosis and treatment of human disease. The symposium theme was progression of the immunosciences over the Institute’s 50-year history.

To further commemorate the Scripps Research 50th anniversary, the important occasion will be marked by an inaugural gala fundraising event  “A Tribute to Five Decades of Visionary Leadership, Scientific Breakthroughs and Educational Excellence” on November 5, 2011 in La Jolla, California.
