La Jolla Library hosts talk on energy-efficient homes

Architect Simi Razavian will discuss how to create energy-efficient homes at a presentation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 20. at La Jolla Riford Library, 7555 Draper Ave.

A licensed architect with a master’s degree in architecture and urban design, Razavian will be citing examples of people in Iran using local materials to improve the efficiency of their homes tapping into power from sun, wind, water and thermal mass to create low-energy consumption buildings both private and comfortable.
The architect believes in the importance of leaving a legacy of people-friendly, aesthetically pleasing buildings and homes blending harmoniously with the environment.
