The first day of school at La Jolla’s public schools is generally filled with smiles, a little traffic as parents negotiate their way around and some tears from nervous kindergartners. At Bishop’s, which started a couple of weeks ago, the event is a bit more formal, beginning with a matriculation ceremony.
