Chef creates special ‘La Jolla’ menu for Riford Center event
Riford Adult Activities Center members and guests learned to do some light and healthful cooking without carbs, ala “The La Jolla South Beach Menu,” during a dinner party commandeered by Urs “Le Chef” Baumann on June 16 in the center’s kitchens.
Guests were taught how to prepare (and then got to sample):
• Mixed Green Salad with Yogurt/Herb Dressing
• Zesty Lemon/Dill Broiled Chicken Breast
• Mediterranean Couscous with Mixed Veggies
• Savory Cauliflower Puree
• Spaghetti Squash with Tomato Sauce
• Ricotta and Fresh Fruit Dessert Surprise
