I think that this corridor project is extremely important. As a cyclist there is nothing more dangerous along the entire coast than this stretch of road. It connects North County to the rest of the beach communities and it's a disgrace how unsafe it is for bikers, and pedestrians. And another item: was putting up speed indicator signs on Torrey Pines the best use of 20K dollars? Is traffic moving too fast on this street? Is that the problem or is it the constant bumper-to-bumper traffic?

Note from the editor: The resolution that was passed by the City Council and signed by Mayor Sanders included 21 recommendations. The 21st was a pedestrian-only activated signal crossing at Princess Street. The pedestrian light was approved by the LJCPA, which is the only group with an official advisory capacity to the city council.
