Fun in good taste at coffee roaster brouhaha

Eight Southern California coffee roasters and 16 Southern California baristas participated in a brewing challenge at Bird Rock Coffee Roasters on June 3. During the event, each roaster contributed one coffee and the baristas were randomly paired to collaborate to find the best of three extractions and brew methods to come up with a winning cup.

The roasters included Bird Rock Coffee Roasters, Caffé Calabria, Cafe Virtuoso, Kéan Coffee, Klatch Coffee, La Costa Coffee, West Bean and Wild Goose Coffee.
