Kudos to Friends of La Jolla Shores

A big round of applause goes to the Friends of La Jolla Shores, which has been instrumental in bringing the Kellogg Park playground area back to life. From raising the funds to install this creative play equipment with its lifeguard-beach theme to the Map showing what’s offshore and the renovation of the restrooms, the group has worked hard and long to make the beach park a fun place for youngsters. And stay tuned: There’s more to come as the sculpture of JJ the Baby Gray Whale nears installation along with educational panels showing the individual inhabitants of the La Jolla marine reserve.

This weekly feature gives kudos to businesses, property owners and institutions that do their part to help make La Jolla beautiful. Send your suggestions to kudos@lajollalight.com.
