La Jollan Spencer Skeen joins Fisher & Phillips LLP

La Jolla resident Spencer C. Skeen has joined Fisher & Phillips LLP, a national labor and employment law firm with an office in the Golden Triangle area, as a partner.

Skeen, who has 14 years of experience in employment and business litigation, is the fourth partner to join the San Diego office in the past 18 months. Regional Managing Partner Christopher C. Hoffman said that the practice has been growing because of demand for the firm’s expertise in helping employers prevent and solve complex problems, such as the wage-and-hour disputes that have become so prevalent in California.

Prior to joining Fisher & Phillips, Skeen was a partner at Procopio, Cory, Hargreaves & Savitch, LLP.

Skeen is experienced in handling trials, mediations, arbitrations and administrative hearings before state and federal courts, as well as the Equal Opportunity Employment Commission (EEOC), Department of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE), Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH) and Federal Investment Regulatory Authority (FINRA).
