It was a great weekend for several La Jolla high school teams as three captured CIF titles.

The La Jolla Country Day girls basketball team and The Bishop’s School’s boys basketball team both won Division IV titles, while the La Jolla High girls soccer team captured the Division III title.

The Bishop’s School’s girls soccer team nearly won the Division IV title, falling just short against Coronado, 1-0.

LJCD’s win in basketball came against Bishop’s as the Torreys topped the Knights, 79-50. Kaylah Miller led the way with 26 points in the win.

As for the boys’ Division IV title game, it was much more of a nail-biter as the Knights needed overtime to get past Francis Parker, 73-70.

In another exciting game, the La Jolla High girls soccer team topped Cathedral Catholic with penalty kicks to secure the Division III title.
