Free afternoon piano concert Monday, Feb. 7 at the Athenaeum in La Jolla

Pianist Kasey Kay will perform a free concert from noon to 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7 at the Athenaeum Music & Arts Library, 1008 Wall Street in La Jolla as part of the library’s Mini Series.

A native of South Korea, Kay is part of a musical family. Playing the piano since age 6, she won a Beethoven competition in high school that landed her a scholarship at Han Yang University to study music.

She has performed at the Athenaeum and with Mainly Mozart musicians. Her program will feature compositions from Liszt, Chopin, Schubert and Schumann. Questions? Call the Athenaeum at (858) 454-5872.
